The client are looking for a highly skilled HSE Coordinator to be based in East Holland on 12 months contract.

The HSE Coordinator will provide HSE leadership, support and expert advice to the members of the project team and the HSE Function. He will develop, implement and maintain effective HSE Management Systems which meet customer, regulatory and company's needs. The HSE Coordinator will be directly reporting to Manager - HSE Offshore projects.

Function description

  • Supports the project organization in order to improve health and safety and to minimize the impact on the environment;
  • Identify and negotiates all HSE related issues in the project;
  • Monitors contractors’ HSE performance and taking appropriate actions on observed deficiencies or HSE noncompliance to contract, standards, company’s requirements and applicable legislation;
  • Request HE staff on project sites and in support roles;
  • Escalates issues to next level in situations where issues cannot be solved in the project, were the project will suffer significant impact or in cases of noncompliance with legal or company’s demands;
  • Active sharing of best practices, lessons learnt and safety alerts among the projects;
  • HSE communication flow and reporting within the project and to the subcontractors;
  • Participates in audits including audit of sub-contractors and coordinate/initiate necessary activities for preparation/follow up;
  • Ensures contractors are provided by feedback, review and approval of documents within the stipulated timeframe;
  • Ensures all accidents and incidents within their area of responsibility are recorded in accordance with the Company accident and reporting procedures and all corrective actions are identified and implemented by the responsible parties;
  • Ensures the correct implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System and assure continuous improvement of the Management System.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar technical education;
  • Experience in offshore wind farm is a plus;
  • Holding HSE offshore education/training;
  • Experience with Systems Engineering and management systems (ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001;
  • Experience in preparation of HSE procedures and matters from industrial business;
  • Language skills, Dutch and English;
  • Ideal Candidate must be based in Netherlands.
