Solids Material Handling Engineer

Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
Minimum years’ experience in EPC projects, in design, procurement/manufacturing and construction of material handling, conveyance systems such as sulfur, polymers, coal.
Working knowledge of gearboxes, bearings, variable speed motors, safety systems and controls related to conveyance facilities
Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, field engineering associated with solids handling
Experience in the design of solids storage and reclaiming
Familiarity with installation methods, testing and troubleshooting of material handling systems
Experience in solid sulphur forming an advantage
Experience in solid sulphur operations an advantage
Experience working in multicultural environments

Job Description

Responsible for overseeing the design and installation for solid sulfur handling from forming to storage to ship loading
Provide oversight to the FEED and EPC Contractors in delivery of all aspects of solid sulphur handling to ensure technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule
Ensure technical requirements such as project specifications, data sheets, procedures, etc. developed during FEED and EPC fully comply with project requirements
Provide clear guidance to the FEED and EPC contractors and facilitate resolution of technical issues to complete solid sulfur handling engineering activities and meet project objectives and milestones
Provide engineering surveillance of FEED and EPC solid handling deliverable.
Monitor discipline schedule, progress, productivity and quality
Provide discipline support and input to EPC Tendering activities
Project core values that strive to achieve best in class Safety, Health, Environmental & Security performance.
