A large international consultancy in Scandinavia is looking to hire a Senior Track Design Manager with a background in Rail Track Design for Sweden (city/home base flexible). If you are a specialist Design Manager looking for a high level role with a market leader, whilst enjoying the opportunity to be based in one of the most desirable cities in the region, then this could be for you.

The position I am currently seeking to source is an experienced Design Manager. This individual will be working as the leader of design teams on both active projects and pre-contract works, coordinating with a team of specialist rail engineers to deliver design and project management to some of the largest infrastructure projects in the region.

This consultancy is one of the largest companies regionally and are recognised as infrastructure specialists Globally. They posses a track record on major rail schemes internationally and this role will have access to work on both regional Scandinavian projects and on international rail schemes outside of Europe.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role working as a leader for and part of a team whilst ideally leading groups of engineers in delivering design packages. They will have contributed significantly to multiple projects and have a proven track record in the successful delivery of works on a consistent basis. They should be from a technical design background and have worked in roles similar to; Design engineer, Senior engineer, Principle Engineer, Design manager. Project Manager, Project leader.

Candidates will be able to lead more junior engineers and upskill them on track design matters to raise the standards of design across the business. They must be a strong communicator and happy working with a head office operation.

Candidates will have a civil degree qualification and be considered a specialist in the field of rail. They will be able to demonstrate an ability to consult on projects at critical stages and to deliver designs on time and to specification.
