The client is currently recruiting for the position of Business Development Manager - Oil & Gas based in Aberdeen
Key Tasks
Proactively drive business development activity in line with growth strategy for the business
Lead and oversee company sales activity to achieve revenue and profit targets
Contribute to development of sales budgets providing operational direction and support to the Managing Director
Plan execution of sales strategy, generate and engage with potential leads, follow up and secure new business through to confirmed orders
Be the product expert in our specialised field, keep technical, industry standards and product knowledge updated through close interactions with suppliers, HSE and QA experts
Maintain a keen interest in relevant markets and keep updated with detailed knowledge of all economic, technical and organisational information in order to take advantage of business opportunities
Constructive communication with clients, business contacts and networks
Attend relevant exhibitions and trade shows across business and energy markets, ensuring constructive use of time with broadening networks and making new connections for the business in line with sales strategy
Lead role at sales meetings for dedicated sales area
Assist company achieve financial objectives by inputting to stock requirement forecasting
Liaison with Internal Sales team ensuring customer service standards are maintained at the highest level
Liaison with Warehouse and Finance teams to resolve any operational issues as required
Manage continual improvement initiatives for all areas of responsibility
