Contract: Senior Mechanical Engineer / Azerbaijan

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer (Azerbaijani nationals only)

Senior Mechanical Engineer based in Baku, Azerbaijan who will be responsible for providing a professional mechanical engineering capability that ensures all relevant engineering standards are complied with:

• Providing technical and engineering support and guidance to offshore or on site teams and assisting in the Mechanical Engineering activities on projects and tenders.
• Leading, coordinating, mentoring and managing discipline teams on projects, ensuring safe, effective and successful implementation of engineering activities within budget and schedule requirements.
• Bringing to the attention of the necessary parties, any problems, assistance or matters that may affect quality, deadlines or costs.
• Establishing good working relationships and communication with all Leads, Managers and clients and Interfacing with Subcontractors, Suppliers and Vendors for completion of engineering activities.
• Ensuring the impact of any changes on specifications/design are understood and implemented across all aspects of the design including internal team, other disciplines and Contractors.
• Providing mechanical engineering guidance to other departments and support the training and development of new engineers - maintaining up to date knowledge of industry trends and issues.
• Ensuring compliance to the HSE requirements stipulated by the company.

What we are looking for:

You will be an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer having significant experience in mechanical engineering in the Upstream Offshore environment, including fixed and floating assets. You will be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
• Stakeholder management with external bodies including Contractors and Sub contractors.
• Ability to manage, motivate and develop others
