Introduction
The client is pleased to offer the following key contract position: Senior Fire Fighting Engineer / Package Responsible Engineer
Work Location: Haugesund
Start date: ASAP - December 2020

Description
Responsibilities as system engineer:
- Define and follow up performance requirements for active fire fighting
- Responsible for planning the firefighting on the platform, i.e. fire water (system 71), inert gas (system 72) and manual firefighting
- Perform system design for system 71 (fire water)
- Responsible for Interface and follow-up with 3rd party for inert gas system design.
- Control object follow up in EIS for system 71 and 72 in accordance with project wave model.
- Follow-up of helideck and LQ design wrt. firefighting design (design is by others)
- Perform fire water calculations – scenario and system hydraulic calculations
- Produce utility flow diagrams - fire water system and inert gas system
- Produce Piping and instrumentation diagrams – fire water system and inert gas system
- Sizing of fire water pumps
- Produce Process datasheets for components of the firefighting systems, e.g. valves, instrumentation, pumps (input to procurement packages)
- Responsible for Interface and follow-up with 3rd party for pressure surge calculations
Responsibilities as package engineer:
· Responsible for the following procurement packages:
1. Firefighting – water
2. Firefighting – inert gas
3. Misc. safety equipment
· Produce technical requisitions and equipment datasheets
· Ensure relevant multidiscipline input to the packages.
· Vendor follow-up and documentation approval.
Requirements
Required Education:
• Bachelor/Master or equivalent education.
Required Work Experience:
• Highly beneficial with experience from Aibel projects and Aibel systems such as EIS and Proarc.
• Extensive experience fire water scenario and system design is required
• Experience with procurement package follow up is required
• Experience with DNVGL spec regime is an advantage
• Experience with complex interface projects (subcontractors, government bodies, certifying authority) is an advantage

• Good communication skills
• Have a high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
• Be proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others
• Communicate well in English – both oral and in writing
