Process Engineer / The Netherlands

Requirements

• A degree in Process or Chemical Engineering;
• At least five years’ professional experience in the design and construction of process plant for the Oil & Gas and Mining industries;
• Technical competence in the unit operations of separation, heat transfer, mass transfer and especially fluid transfer;
• Proven experience with plant Instrumentation and Control Systems;
• Experience with process simulation software is an advantage;
• Strong analytical skills and good attention to details;
• Must have excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written;
• Must possess the ability, knowledge, skills and experience to work with others throughout the organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare calculations to select and size plant equipment for conceptual and detail designs;
• Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, process design calculations, equipment data sheets, control philosophies, function descriptions, control systems specifications, process interlock diagrams and instrument lists and data sheets in time and quality in line with company contractual obligations to its customers;
• Participate in customer design review meetings, HAZOP and CHAZOP meetings;
• Participate in development activities such as calculation spreadsheets, standard format for equipment designs, and IT programming and development of local and web-based applications in order to minimise calculation time;
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations;
• Execute and/or assist in process commissioning activities at project sites;
• Travel as required for job related activities.
