Cost Engineer

Job Description:

• Perform and ensure an efficient and effective Cost Engineering for assigned Offshore Project.
• Review contractor's valuation in conjunction with pricing tables and latest contract amendments
• Prepare and submit monthly VOWD and review aged accruals.
• Manage change process and allocating budget funds where applicable
• Prepare monthly internal cost package for review by delivery Managers and Leadership team
• Prepare 3 and 6 monthly detailed project re-forecasts of the control budget and present for review and approval
• Undertakes role within the framework of Cost Engineering & other Project Controls related procedures
• In this role Cost Engineer will be supporting the Offshore Projects Cost Team Lead.
• Cost Engineer will be accountable for functional cost engineering activities.
• This role supports cost activities for the Offshore Projects scopes of work executed in Baku as well as interfaces with the M&S Cost Team.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Degree in Business, Economics or Engineering or similar discipline
• Minimum 5-10 years' experience in same or equivalent project role.
• Good knowledge of cost engineering fundamentals including ability to manage project budgets, calculate VOWD/ Accruals
• Ability to provide robust in year, multi-year / full cycle cost phasing & forecasting
• Understanding of change management process and when to apply them
• Good communication skills, Written/Verbal English
• Membership or Chartered Status of a recognised professional body
• Proven track record of working with regional, functional and global project team members with ability to work in a collaborative environment
