My Client is a global Biotech company based in the North East of England and has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineering Manager to work on an expansion project in the Microbial Manufacturing facility.
The Project Engineering Manager is responsible for the technical assurance and regulatory compliance of the project. The role will manage a team, liaising with the supply chain to procure GMP packages and equipment and define for construction all asset modifications.
The technical success and right first time construction and commissioning/qualification of the project is the primary purpose of this role.
The Job holder will:
1. Lead/manage in multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the project is effectively and technically delivered to meet Time, Cost and Quality.
2. Act as a mentor to other engineers to assist with their continuous improvement.
3. Required to work in a cGMP environment.
4. The facilities to be modified are qualified GMP conditions and the job holder needs to have expert level knowledge of the applicable standards of the engineering required for this type of operation.
5. Consult with line management over major technical issues and work planning but otherwise must be capable of operating with minimum supervision.
6. Requires an honours degree or higher qualification in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent) and preferably a chartered with a minimum of 10 years experience in the areas of design, commissioning, qualification and technical support preferably in a cGMP environment.
