1. JOB DETAILS: Job Title: Logistics Specialist
Reports to: Interface Team Leader  

Location: WTC  

2. JOB DIMENSIONS: Revenues/ Budget: (Operating / Capital):

Direct Reports: Operation Interface Team leader Indirect Reports: Operation interface Manager  

 JOB PURPOSE:
  • Plays a critical role in the development of the ongoing strategic direction of the company.
  • Direct and coordinate requirements related to project, production and drilling operation for materials procurement, handling, storage and transportation, ensuring best utilization of resources.
  • Create, review and update Logistics Operational Readiness Plan (LORP) and LD Risk Register.
  • Carry out studies and data analysis as required for the transportation of people and materials.
  • Develop and prepare LD interface processes, procedures and systems to manage Logistics services and activities for all Logistic teams.
  • Provide industry best practices support for all Logistics interface activities.
  • Prepare business cases and SOW.
 4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific Accountabilities

  1. Provide continuous logistics and technical support to LD clients and developing a functional and physical interface architectures whereby LD can facilitate required support and tasks deliverables.
  2. Support logistics managers in the preparation of budget in coordination with financial controllers of COMPANYS Offshore including development of budget presentation for VPL.
  3. Stimulate continuous improvement and industry best practices in the development and preparation of LD processes, procedures and interfaces in order to effectively manage the Logistics services and activities.
  4. Focal point for all LD optimization project including IT system, consultancy services. Responsible for establishing required processes to support effective implementation of business requirements and department objectives. Develop SOR and coordinate the roll-out and implementation of such project.
  5. Develop and prepare technical reports and statistical analysis for presentations, studies and business cases.
  6. Identify critical issues and areas of concern and relevant mitigations to ensure timely achievement of set goals and targets for LD.
  7. Provide business supports to all LD key stakeholders on Logistics, marine and aviation issues.
  8. Develop, implement and coordinate all LD interface management plans and provide expertise in the management of requirement between LD and other Divisions team in order to meet set targets / KPI’s.
  9. Develop and prepare MOC (Management of Change) relating to Logistics, Marine, Aviation and MUS Base activities in order to support Project, Production and drilling operations.
  10. Develop, manage and coordinate clients forecasting requirements with relevant LD teams.
  11. LD Business Continuity Plan (BCP) focal point.
  12. Prepare, train and develop U.A.E Nationals. Participate in the initiation and follow up of U.A.E. Nationals Training Program.

Supervision
  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
  • Provide input for preparation of the Department/ Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
  • Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
  • Develop and implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Department / Section’s work programs in line with Company and International standards.
  • Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.
Performance Management
  • Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department / Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of   operational processes.
  • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and COMPANYS Code of Practices
  • Ensure compliance as per HSEMS, coordinate with corporate HSE in closure of HSE related corrective actions in LD.
Reports
  • Provide inputs to prepare presentation and progress reports for Company Management
5. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal
  • Regular contacts with VP-LD, LD Manager and team leaders.
  • Regular contacts with all the offshore site Managers as well as Drilling and HSE, procurement, HR and project.
External
  • Contractors
6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:  

Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, science, commercial or Business Administration studies.
  • Master degree will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in English language (both oral and written).
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
  • 12 years of experience
 Professional Certifications
  1. Degree in engineering, science or commercial / Business Administration studies.
  2. 12 years’ experience.
 7. behavioural CompetenciEs: Independence of Operations and Decision-making Authority: 

Operates independently in determining priorities and in setting work programs and schedules. Discusses operational aspects with the team leader.
