- Qualification: Master degree in safety system engineering, preferably Loss Prevention.
- Relevant years’ experience in safety engineering field in Oil and Gas activities.
- Offshore experience is required.
- Good knowledge of industry codes, standards and legislations on SSHE aspect.
- Available for world-wide missions.
- Language: fluent English.
- Computer literate.
- Strong leader ship skills and good communication skills.
- Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Promote & comply in all activities with applicable safety instructions and other COMPANY HSE procedures.
- Carry out work in compliance with COMPANY values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed COMPANY priorities and objectives, COMPANY standards and procedures and good industry practices.
- Follow-up of engineering development activities progress related to safety engineering systems by the contractors, the LLI and packages vendors (as applicable) for the Major Projects.
- The scope of activities will both concern green field (new development) as well as brownfield activities (on existing platforms).
- The activities include the review and comment of engineering and vendor documentation to ensure compliance with design dossier, safety concept, SOR, COMPANY specifications.
- Corporate standard and HSE regulation, international codes and classification society rules (when applicable), Review firefighting equipment and lifesaving appliance specifications, datasheets, technical bid evaluations, purchase order specifications and vendor documentations.
- Review of the firewater systems design including PFD, PID, and design of deluge system, calculation notes, hydraulic and transient analysis.
- Review of passive fire protection specification (piping, structural, vessels),
- Review of other safety engineering documentations which are related to safety of personals and facilities such like (but not limited to) safety concept, hazardous area classifications, process PID, ESD logic diagrams, fire and gas cause and effect diagrams, hazardous area classification layouts, blast study, etc.
- Review of various safety-related studies which are performed by a third party / consultant to identify major hazards and to ensure that risk are managed to ALARP, such like HAZID, HAZOP, SIL determination, Fire Risk Analysis, Explosive Risk Analysis, Safety Critical Elements identification and performance standard, Escape evacuation Rescue analysis, Gas Dispersion and radiation analysis, etc...
- Follow-up recommendations and actions from various safety studies, through Contractor tracking register.
- Ensure close coordination with other disciplines on all engineering, constructability and operational matters during Feed & detailed design developments, typically 3D model development, safety layout reviews, etc…
- Treat all information obtained during course of the work with confidentiality.
- Keep a pro-active attitude in front of future interlocutors (Contractors, vendors, etc…).
- Review and analyse the safety engineering design data of the existing facilities in view of the integration with the new wellhead platforms, Assist in preparing the various detailed scope of work for loss prevention safety engineering discipline covering for FEED and EPC, all in line with Pre-FEED and Statement of Requirements.
- Manage the technical interfaces with other disciplines for the preparation of loss prevention safety discipline scope of work.
