The client is currently seeking a Construction Supervisor for a contract role based in Medicine Hat. This role is working on a 10/4 rotation with LOA provided. The contract is from May-October (could be extended).
Qualifications
- 5-10 + years of expeirence in Construction Management
- P.eng is preferred, however not required.
- Contractor RFI Management:
- Track and Log Contractor RFIs as they’re received & responded to
- Coordinate RFI responses with CMT, PMT, and Engineering
- Develop/organize responses (drawing packages, mark-ups, sketches, etc.)
- EFX Outage Planning:
- Coordinate with Operations and PMT on EFX outage tasks, risks, and opportunities
- Develop and manage an all-encompassing schedule as a task and timeline tracking tool
- Technical/QA Responsibilities:
- Drafting and issuing Site Instructions
- CMT and Contractor consultation - physical inspections and identification of design flaws and opportunities
- Consult with stakeholders to determine viable solutions
- Consolidate/develop relevant engineering documentation
- Develop work scope package and issue in the form of a Site Instruction to the respective Contractor
- Drafting and issuing Quality Surveillance Reports (QSR)
- Consult with CMT/PMT on general QA observations relating to Vendor, EPC, and/or Contractor performance and work quality
- Draft reports that discuss QA observations and propose corrective actions
- Issue to stakeholders and associated parties
- Deficiency Identification and Tracking
- Logging deficiencies (all disciplines) of Vendor supplied equipment
- Drafting and distributing Site Instructions to address Vendor deficiencies
- Draft and/or receive NCRs as required
- Receive, review and track Contractor NCRs
- Draft and issue Contractor NCRs
- Drafting and issuing Site Instructions
- General (CMT) Construction Management Support:
- Provide support to multi-discipline CMT Inspectors (civil, mechanical, instrumentation, & electrical)
- Act as main liaison between CMT and respective EPCs
- Identifying and clarifying engineering discontinuities
- Manage Vendor equipment inquiries (design clarifications, installation procedures, preservation/storage requirements, etc.)
- Manage and distribute Vendor information
- Receive and review Vendor data books, logging all deficiencies
- Digitally collect and store up to date Vendor documentation based on SharePoint transmittals with NBU Document Control as main point of Contact
- Assemble Vendor packages and issue to Pembina CMT and respective Contractors
- Review Contractor Design Drawings:
- Review in house against IFC drawings and issue to respective EPCs for review
- Review and track Contractor invoices and PCRs:
- Provide technical auditing support as required
- Review New Contractor Work Scopes
- Monthly Reporting:
- Consolidate project engineering, procurement, and construction data for monthly internal reporting purposes – NBU & GBU
Qualifications
