Lead Estimator / Australia

A well respected Tier 1 contractor - who deliver a diverse range of projects across the construction sector are targeting extensive growth of their water infrastructure division nationally.
  
They have recently been awarded high profile framework agreements across several states in Australia and are actively searching for a Lead Estimator to join the team, working from their office in the Sydney.

This is a key hire and is expected the successful candidate will develop in to a Pre-Contract

The responsibilities of the Lead Estimator include:
  

• Estimating water infrastructure projects from $1-100m - including but not limited to water & wastewater treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, pump stations, major pipelines
• Co-ordinate a team of estimators across civil, mechanical & electrical scopes
• Undertake tender reviews, clarifications and risk analysis at pre-tender stage
• Delivering "first principle" estimates for water infrastructure projects
• Working closely with the Bid Manager and Senior Management team to develop accurate tender pricing
• Provide cost planning input

  The requirements of the Lead Estimator are:

• Academic qualifications in engineering or similar field
• 5-10 years experience working as an Estimator, estimating projects from first principles
• Deep understanding of Mechanical aspects and ability to lead this part of the tenders
• Proven track record in winning projects in the civil infrastructure sector in excess of $25m
