  • The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for safely performing all preventive maintenance and repair tasks associated with mechanical equipment (pumps, motors, valves, compressors, pumping units, and other rotating equipment) in Mukhaizna Field. Also, the Mechanical Technician will assist in assessing root cause failure analysis and reporting, participation in corrective maintenance activities, and metric development and tracking, and mentoring of new employees

    The Mechanical Technician responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on oilfield process equipment.
  • Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis on critical equipment failures.
  • Perform predictive maintenance tasks.
  • Create and maintain meaningful measures on critical equipment runtime, MTBF (Mean Time between Failures), and operating costs.
  • Provide input on process optimization opportunities as they relate to equipment life cycle costs.
  • Insure compliance with all company and governmental safety, environmental and health rules and regulations.
  • Coaching and mentoring of mechanic trainees and junior Mechanics


  • College Diploma with a minimum of 3 years experience in rotating equipment maintenance activities (OR) General Diploma Certificate (Secondary School) with a minimum of 5 years experience in rotating equipment maintenance activities.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge and experience in the repair and maintenance of various types of mechanical equipments, including positive displacement and centrifugal pumps, electric motors, compressors, coolers and valves.
  • Strong working knowledge of Predictive and Preventative maintenance practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment failures
  • Served a recognized Mechanical Apprenticeship associated with rotating equipment is a plus.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good PC skills.
