Operations Manager

Job Description:

• Supervising the UBOC Operations Team which includes the full time UBOC employee and Contractor Operations and Maintenance community related to the offshore platforms and associated infrastructure
• Serving as "Duty Holder" for the Umid and Babek Safety Cases, being overall accountability for the safe, efficient & reliable operation of Umid and Babek Fields and associated facilities (Wells, Subsea & Production platforms.
• Serve as Company Single Point of Accountability for all UBOC Production Operations Contracts
• Building and lead a top quartile oversight and assurance operations team in UBOC to consistently and efficiently deliver top quality operations performance in UBOC and fully integrate Umid and Babek operations.
• Accountable for development of all UBOC Production Operations staff, with a focus on diversity and inclusion, development of Azerbaijani staff and succession planning for technical disciplines.
• Assuring contractor performance and capacity
• Ensuring compliance with the licences / Petroleum Agreements in a very fast moving and growing operating company.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Operations & Maintenance contract management
• Change management and process improvement
• Previous experience leading a large Operations team in a developing country
• Safety Case status, Case to operate processes, Safety Critical Element Management.
• Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent
• Managed multiple Operational sites
• Analytical, proven problem solver
• Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
• Stakeholder management with external bodies including government and regulatory bodies
• Ability to work with a number of other technical and non-technical internal groups
• Performance management of team including develop national staff into senior roles
