Our client, an international Oil and Gas Operating Company are looking for a Contracts and Procurement Methods Engineer to be based in Paris, France.
As C&P Methods Engineer you'll participate to the functioning of the C&P Methods entity by performing the following activities:
- Processes / Procedures / Organisation
? Organise, update and assist the C&P Manager and C&P Director in implementing referential procedures and the Company Rules relating to procurement activities
? Analyse the procurement process and identify improvements opportunities
? Ensure consistency of C&P referential and its respect by users
? Organise and structure documentation and archiving of the C&P entity
? Prepare and participate in any (internal or external) audits when needed
- Analysis/Reporting
? To carry out Monthly internal control
? Ensure definition and implementation of an integrated C&P reporting process
? Ensure C&P weekly, monthly and annual reporting
- Communication
? Facilitate the internal communication between C&P entities for procurement and contracts matters
? Liaise with the shareholder entities about procurement activities and promote exchange of information with them.
- Tools
? Participate or ensure SAP deployment or upgrade regarding MM (link with Finance department, Technical Entities...), facilitate the transition and the use of SAP for procurement matters
? Develop and implement materials optimisation strategy using SAP
? Be responsible for the deployment of Supplier Management tool
? Participate or ensure Master Data Creation Section
? Participate in C&P SAP training for end users
- Supplier development
? Develop supplier pre-qualification processes
? Develop a reference supplier database
? Maintain the supplier data base
? Be the point of contact for new suppliers
? Keep track of supplier reporting
? Support contracts engineers when performing supplier evaluations
Qualification and background
- A degree in a relevant subject would be desirable
- Extensive experience in Contracts & Procurement within the International O&G industry is essential - preferably onshore LNG projects.
