Structural Engineer - Elevated Stations (Metro, Manila)
Our client is a leading railway engineering consultancy looking to recruit an experienced Structural Engineer for a major railway project in Manila. The ideal candidate for the role will be a Degree qualified structural engineer with strong design and project engineering experience in elevated stations. With a good appreciation for multi-disciplinary design management between rail civils works and E&M systems.
This is an expat role and comes with a healthy allowance for living costs in country.
Key Responsibilities;
- Review the detailed engineering design and construction plan for stations, depot structures.
- Based on the detailed engineering design, develop a program of site inspection plan for stations, depot structures.
- Review the contractor 's work plan and identify the feasibility of their work method statements.
- Identify and revise or amend the contractor 's design and work plans, as necessary.
- Conduct site inspection of stations and depot structure works supervision, quality assurance, measurements, and administration services at the site.
Requirements to apply;
- Minimum Bachelors Degree in Structural Engineering
- Design Focused work experience
- Minimum 20 years overall experience
- Minimum 2 projects working as Structural Engineer on Elevated Metro Stations
- English language skills required
The start date for this position will be mid-March 2020.
Remunerations for this position will stand at:
$9,000 - $10,000 USD PCM 'net'
$1,500 USD PCM living allowance.
This salary package will give the candidate a very comfortable life in the Philippines, as the country has such low living costs with a good standard of living.
As this is a JICA funded project the possibilities for subsequent work are abundant, whether the candidates was to stay with the employer or move on following the three year project.
