The client is currently seeking a Regulatory Transition Project Specialist to join their team in St. John’s NL.

The Regulatory Transition Project Specialist will be required to coordinate the work of contracted and internal resources to:

  • Review the new regulations and demonstrate compliance and identify gaps to requirements
  • Review the regulatory queries and determine their validity under the new regulations
  • Prepare a Certification plan that details the codes and standards employed in the design and operations of assets operating under C-NLOPB Authorization
  • Facilitate implementation of changes and
  • Revise existing regulatory documents to reflect changes in the regulations and the Atlantic Region facilities, staff and management system as a result of the regulatory changes.
Core Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the review of the new regulations by staff and contracted resources.
  • Developing compliance matrix, identify gaps and manage gap closure.
  • Developing and monitoring a plan to transition to the Framework Regulations.
  • Developing a change management plan to build awareness and capacity within the Atlantic Region workforce to operate within the new regulations.
  • Interacting with stakeholders, including management and staff, the Project, the C-NLOPB and CAPP to refine the understanding of requirements and ensure alignment.
  • Reviewing and revising all written submissions to the C-NLOPB and CAPP teams to ensure high quality documentation.
Must Have Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience with working the oil and gas industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project management work coordination role.
  • Experience working within a performance based regulatory regime.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Atlantic Accord and its associated regulations and guidelines
  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical Diploma in relevant field, or a combination of formal education and equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Project
