Deputy Rail Project Director / Engineering Manager - AUD250000 - AUD280000 / Australia

An internationally recognised tier 1 Contractor is looking for a Deputy Rail Project Director / Engineering Manager to support a team of experts for the Construction of a new railway project in Perth .

Profile & Qualification

-Senior engineer with minimum 15 years experience in major complex railway/metro projects
-Very good technical background in civil structures associated with transportation systems
-Ability to lead and direct project teams
- Strategic thinking and decision making
-Capacity to build relationship and influence
-Understanding of legal, contractual, commercial, procurement and technical processes
-Ability to analyse complex situations and work under pressure
-Authority to manage and interact with consultants, stakeholders and subcontactors
-Understand Commercial elements to the project

Key responsibilities and duties
-Accountable for delivery of the package to time, cost, quality, safety and environmental requirements
-Commercial aware
-Provide and communicate the goals and objectives to the package management team
-Maintain relationship with consultants, Subcontractors, third parties, stakeholders, external bodies and authorities
-Manage design, procurement, construction, installation and testing activities
-Monitor project control information and commercial issues
-Report progress and performance to Project Director
-Manage package interfaces (internal and external)
-Lead on strategic technical, commercial, contractual and legal issues
-Provide direction and supervision to construction and engineering managers
-Establish and maintain team, resources and facilities
