Contract: Engineering Designer/ Drafter - CAD60 - CAD65 per hour / Canada

We are a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry. Our client, an Oil and Gas Operator, is currently looking for a Engineering Drafter/ Designer  for a contract role at Camp in Fort McMurray. This is a rotational role on a 4X3 with flights provided from Calgary or Edmonton.


Job Overview:

               The Engineering Designer / Drafter is to provide CAD drawing design and development to the client's Reliability Engineering team.

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist Engineers developing Scope of Work (SOW)
• Management of Change
• Participate in field verification of all developed scopes
• Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR)

Required Qualifications:

• Process piping drafting certificate
• Machine Design
• Vessel Design per ASME codes
• CAD operation and 3-D modeling

Experience and Education:

• Minimum 5 Years’ experience in CAD design and drafting
• Field engineering
  • Facilitate maintenance work
  • Support shutdown/TA
  • Conduct field visits and meetings to obtain design information
• Drafting
  • Prepare and check fabrication drawings (piping, structural, vessels, exchangers, etc.)
  • Prepare engineering drawings (Isometrics, 2D and 3D  design drawings and models)
  • Lead small piping and modular package projects

 

Skills and Knowledge:

• Proficient in Auto CAD and 3D modeling
• Piping design
• Work well as a team
• Not afraid of heights
