Environmental Engineer - Nationally Recognized Tier 2 Construction Company - $150K - $170K / Australia

Join a nationally recognized Tier 2 construction company with over 40 years of experience, employing over 500 employees nationwide. With projects across all sectors including industrial, commercial, retail, education, health, residential and aged care they can cater to any requirement.

With several new build government projects starting in the new year they are looking for an Environmental Engineer who specialises in Green Star rated buildings;

What to expect in this role:   

• Support Projects in the development and implementation of the Construction Environmental Management Plan
• Development of environmental procedures and systems that support Project/facility needs
• Lead investigations into significant environmental incidents
• Monitor and facilitate the closeout of environmental issues
• Apply for and manage any required environmental permits and approvals
• Record all relevant environmental data and compile reports for both internal and external stakeholders

What we are seeking:

• Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering
• At least 2 years’ experience in an environmental role in commercial construction
• Previous experience working on Green Star rated buildings is essential
• Strong understanding of NSW environmental legislation
• Confident and an excellent communicator
• Able to build rapport with people at all levels of the organisation
