Commercial Manager - £45,000 to £65,000 / England

ROLE: COMMERCIAL MANAGER / QUANTITY SURVEYOR

LOCATION: SOUTH YORKSHIRE

We have been retained by one of our key clients to identify a Commercial Manager for their UK Architectural Metalwork and Structural Steel Construction business.

They are looking to bring on board a confident and experienced Commercial Manager to be based out of their head office based in South Yorkshire.

Purpose of the Job

The core purpose of the role is to optimise the margin on the project whilst protecting the business from commercial risk.

Management of a commercial team:

• Quantity surveying
• Supply chain management
• Contract administration
• Cost capture and control
• Reporting
• Liaise with the Employers commercial team
• Implement commercial procedures and reporting to ensure compliance with company and contract requirements
• Ensure appropriate commercial records are maintained in line with the contract requirements and oversee any contractual issues.

Required Desired Experience

Professionally qualified and accredited QS / Commercial Manager
Degree level education or equivalent with training and qualifications in a related discipline
Knowledge / Experience
Experience of managing a medium size team
Experience of working in a construction/rail environment within a contractors organisation
JCT Contract Experience Essential
