We are working with a leading O&G Operator in the CBD that require a Senior HR Advisor (Strategy & Planning). This role will initially be for 12 months (maternity cover), however it could lead to more work after.  
 
Role:
Support the General Manager, HR and HR management team to implement the HR Strategy, facilitating annual planning, creating/ adapting strategic approaches and tools, leading the collaborative design and delivery of key projects, and drawing on external best practice.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Occupational Health and Safety
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. At all times, ensure the welfare of personnel and the protection of our assets and the environment.
 Planning
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR prioritisation, planning, reporting and project governance. Develop new approaches, processes, tools and templates, as required. Guide/ support implementation of these changes.
 HR Management
  • Identify opportunities to deliver business value through new HR initiatives and solutions.
  • Investigate business needs and data to ensure solutions are appropriate and fit-for-purpose.
  • Monitor the external market & trends in HR to identify and leverage/ mitigate opportunities and threats.
  • Build partner relationships with peer companies and external experts with a view to leverage/ collaborate on HR strategies, frameworks and technology.
  • With assistance of other HR teams, lead & project manage key strategic initiatives and solutions.
  • Influence other HR teams to design/ update/ evolve existing HR frameworks.
 Supervision:
  • Provide peer-to-peer coaching and support to build internal HR knowledge and skills.
 Skills and Experience Required:
  • 9+ years’ relevant experience
  • Future-oriented, strategic thinker
  • Evidence-based thinking
  • High level of skill in business planning and/or project management
  • High level of skill in change management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
