Site Manager - Hydropower Project - Nepal

Working with international Hydro equipment manufacture, my client is urgently seeking a site manager for Hydropower project located in Nepal. As Site Manager you should have hands on experience in handling Hydro power projects Electromechanical as well as Penstock & gates works.

Reporting to: Functionally to Head Office and operationally to Project Manager during the execution of the project.

Role: The Site Manager is responsible for the Site-Planning, Erection & Commissioning activities of Hydro Power Plant. He is based at site, leading the Expats, Site supervisors, QC Engineers, Stores team and various contractors for successful execution of Site Works.

To be considered by the client you must the below criteria:

* Worked directly with hydropower equipment manufacturer.
* Minimum 20 years experience in Project Execution, Erection, Testing & Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance of Hydro Power Plants.
* At Least 2 project as a Site Manager of projects greater than 100MW OR 4 projects as Site Manager of projects less than 30MW.
* Regional experience gained in Asia



Main Tasks (including):

* Representation of the project at site to the Customer and Consultants
* Site Mobilization and Establishment of Accommodation, infrastructure, Offices and Stores etc.
* Controlling of all installation and commissioning activities in respect of technical performance, quality, cost and time schedule and corrective measures in case of deviations.
* Co-ordination of site work. Calling of regular site meetings (minutes of meetings required) and reporting to the Project Manager /FS Team Leader.
* Site management and coordination of site personnel (Expats, supervisor/installation company)
* Management of health, safety and environmental aspects. As per EHS practices, Stop the process, set off the alarm, protect the work place, seek help, first aid through safety member.
* Preparation of Installation reports, site log book, weekly / monthly reports, meeting protocols, test protocols, records for claims and control on QC documentation
* Handling monthly site cash and timely submission of accounts.
* Coordination with home office and on shore manager in respect of local transports (crane availability, storage yard, etc)
* Allotment of work for site / sub supplier staff & review the progress.
* Handling, storage, preservation, administration of tools, materials, limited storable materials, and dangerous substances, prompt checking, marking of the product to prevent unintended use E.g. sticker.
* Planning and execution of Installation instructions, inspection and test plans, test procedures
* Project specific Health and Safety and Environmental Plan Health and Safety meetings, instructions and toolbox talks, inspections through nominated safety member.
* Comparison planned vs. actual schedule and costs, non conformities, accident statistic, environmental incidents, experiences and improvement potentials for further projects
* Input for the final project meeting & Final report installation


Contract Duration: 18 months.

Mobilisation Date: January 2020 (ASAP)

Salary: Upto10, 000 USD Per Month (Accommodation and travel provided by client)
