An oil and gas major currently require a Contracts Engineer – SPS Category, to join a central procurement team for a 12 month renewable contract to be based in Paris, France.
The Contracts Engineer – SPS Category, will prepare the documentation for requests; Send out the requests to the agreed contractors; Organize, prepare face to face meetings if applicable; Receive the responses, analyze them, prepare summary reports and recommendations for the project team/category manager; and Ensure appropriate document management.
You will also prepare the ‘dossier’ for the Call for Tender; Complete and prepare the contractor shortlist; manage the pre-qualification process; Send out and manage the CFT process, including handling questions/clarifications, organizing meetings; Receive the responses to the CFT, analyze them, ask for clarifications (where required) and manage the commercial and legal evaluations and negotiations; Write up recommendation to award (RTA); Ensure applicable contractors have been screened; Prepare the final contract documents for signature and sign off; Communicate to the unsuccessful bidders; Prepare for handover of the dossier to the contract manager; and Participate in a After Action Review (REX) if applicable, and conduct an After Action Review (REX) on the CFT process if required.
You will have 10-15 years experience within pre-contract award activities. You will also have experience working within subsea category management. You will be fluent in English and French will be highly advantageous.
