Project Manager - Transmission and Distribution - Ireland

My client is seeking Project Manager to support the Project Management Office in PM services (scope, schedule, cost management, risk management etc.) for all stages of a project (set up phase, detailed design, construction) in the area of energy (High Voltage Connection). This is a long term permanent position based in Ireland and regular travelling to France. It is for that reason a good level French (ideally fluency is required).

Project Scope: My client will act as PMO for major energy and Transmission project connecting UK and Mainland Europe. The project will involve the high voltage sub electricity cable connecting Ireland and Europe.

Project Manager

The project manager, operating within agreed reporting structures, is responsible for:

• Clarify the project charter and establish necessary communication channels
• Develop a project management plan
• Create an environment that motivates the organization and project team
• Set and maintain quality standards
• Ensure compliance with regulations and laws
• Develop integrated change control system
• Ensure stakeholder satisfaction
• Resolve resource availability issues at all levels of the organization
• Manage project risks
• Resolve interpersonal conflict
• Remove roadblocks as they occur
• Deliver the project on time and within budget

Criteria to be considered

• Energy related experience (preferably Transmission and Distribution)
• Minimum post 5 year experience
• Good level of French (preferably fluent)
• Willingness to travel regularly to France
• Willingness to be based in Ireland long term
• Vida/ resident statues to live and work in Ireland (client will not be providing Visa)

Salary: Negotiable

Duration: Long Term
