This is not a 100% position. The current estimate is that the position is around 30-40% but non-identified opportunitites and scope may increase the need.

Description

The incumbent will be accountable for:

• Top Quartile delivery of engineering, from feasibility to operation.

• Ensuring that all deliverables associated with the discipline meet minimum safety, technical and quality requirements and that risks are managed in a cost-effective way.

• Developing and maintaining strong working relationships within projects and operations

• Engaging with the companysl global discipline network to secure and share technical support

• Staying abreast of and implementing new technology

• Using and maintaining appropriate industry and Shell standards

•This position reports to the Instrumentation, Controls & Electrical Team Lead in the Technical Delivery Team

•The primary purpose of the job is to contribute to specify, design deliveries for subsea control, umbilical and distribution systems for Concept Select phase . This includes HSSE, safety, cost, schedule, and quality guidance and/or assurance within Subsea Controls & Distribution Engineering.

Requirements

Following competence and experience are desirable:

• Subsea project delivery experience including commissioning and start-up; wrt. umbilical, distribution and control components.

• Awareness of contract management processes (e.g. detailed design, construction, installation and/or procurement contracts).

 Able to design and deliver subsea controls systems based on requirements for :

• The overall subsea system and its interfaces

• Umbilicals and distribution systems

• Hydraulics systems and equipment 

• Chemical injection systems

• Subsea instrumentation and controls 

• Subsea peripheral equipment / instruments

• Able to manage external contractors in project deliverables or technical solutions.

• A highly developed HSSE and Quality mindset, Technical proficiency, commercial awareness, strong leadership attributes and the ability to communicate well at all levels internally and externally, with staff, contractors and 3rd parties are desirable
