Introduction

We are pleased to offer the following key contract positions: Technical Drafter

Work Location: Forus - Stavanger

Start date: January 2020

Duration: 6 -12 months

Description

• Produce 2D drawings and sketches in AutoCAD for seafastening, lift rigging drawings, installation aids, installation sketches, deck layouts, permanent and non-permanent subsea equipment/assets.

• Produce 3D drawings and 3D modelling in Inventor for fabrication/clash checks/tender purposes/etc.

• Meet deadlines and quality requirements

• Communicating potential design issues to engineers

• Be obliged to follow internal Drawing Office procedures and that all drawings are prepared in accordance with it.?

• Establish and maintain the master drawing register for the project.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor`s Degree/Education or courses within CAD/Relevant CAD working experiences may compensate for formal education.

• Minimum 3 years off relevant experience within the subsea industry

• Experienced in AutoCAD 2D (e.g. scale command, creating and using blocks, working in model and paper space)

• Experienced in Autodesk Inventor (Frame Generator module, Clash Detector, use of parametric dimensions, understanding of BOM, good knowledge of beam and plate connections)

• Good knowledge of drawings setup (views & sections, dimensioning and dimension tolerances) , weld symbols, MTO etc.

• Good communication skills, English (spoken and written)

• Good working attitude with; high focus on quality, safety, cultural awareness, efficiency, creativity and willing to work as a team in projects and department

• Be proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others
