As a reservoir engineer, the primary role is to help build, execute, and deliver a first-class and cost-effective R&D program as well as perform advanced technology applications to solve the asset's needs.
The program focuses on the following
- Predict well performance from first principles
- Accelerate the empirical calibration process
- Improve recovery factor
- Make optimal subsurface development decisions
- Make a step change in unit cost
- Leverage and handle data
Accountabilities
The holder of this position will primarily work with UPU partners and other members of the team to support the delivery and tasks below through a combination of experiments, field trials, analytical solutions, and numerical simulation
- Simulation modelling & history matching
- Fundamental Physical processes
- Well test analysis
- Scripting
- Coupling of hydraulic fracturing programs with flow simulation Well test interpretation
- Data analysis
- Able to manage complex projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Production Engineering or Reservoir Engineering. Ph.D. is preferred but not required
- Minimum of 5 years experience in reservoir engineering with a grasp of the fundamental phenomena
- Previous Unconventional experience is preferred.
- Advanced knowledgeable in:
- Simulation Modelling
- Fundamental Physics
- Well Test Analysis
- Scripting
- Geophysical Modelling
- Reservoir engineer with a demonstrated track record of innovation demonstrated through publications and/or project delivery.
