POWER SYSTEM STUDIES AND DESIGN ENGINEER

Job DESCRIPTION:

Position: Power System Studies and Power System Design for protection and relay coordination/calculation)

Experience: 5+ years

The position will be expected to provide expertise in areas of Power Systems Analysis and coordination Studies such as Master Plans, Operational Studies Short Circuit, Analysis of stability, Interconnection etc…

He shall also have a knowledge of: Protective Device Coordination, Protective Relaying, and Power Systems Design. This position requires the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting all project deadlines and providing exemplary client service.

Must have experience and knowledge with short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash and power quality studies. Technical disciplines include the following three areas:

Power System Planning and Operational Studies: steady-state real and reactive power flows including outage contingencies, generation interconnect feasibility, P-V and Q-V analysis for voltage stability margins, dynamic stability performance He shall be knowledgeable in Applicable Software such as PTI, CYME….
Protective Relaying: short circuit and symmetrical component analysis, time-current coordination, protection scheme and criteria development, relay settings, integration with SCADA systems, arc flash analysis... Applicable software
Infrastructure Design studies: substation grounding, corona and electric and magnetic fields, insulation coordination (lightning, switching surge, and contamination performance), transient simulation, power quality (harmonics, voltage flicker, over/under voltage, etc.), motor starting…Applicable Software

Salary expectation:

• 40,000 QAR/ 11,000 USD Per Month (All inclusive)
• Accommodation cost will need t be paid by the candidate, estimated (6000-9000 QAR monthly)
• Car Allowance, Travel t be provided by client.
