Chef de mission (Resident Project manager) - T&D
My client is seeking a project manager (chef de mission) for major transmission and distribution projects in MADAGASCAR .the project will enhance the covenant and operations in the electricity sector.
The project will involve the upgrade of existing network and power supply, consisting of headlines and substations.
Job Role / Responsibilities
As chief de mission you will be in charge of managing sites activities and maintaining relationship wit external stakeholders, you will help to coordinate activities and follow- up on the required results in close collaboration with the client and contractors.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination of all activities of line and post works sites.
- Daily and weekly coordination with the Client and the Contractors and preparation of subsequent reports.
- Daily and weekly schedules of local team activities.
- Writing the daily newspaper of works on the sites.
- Daily and weekly follow-ups of the contractors' progress according to their respective schedules and subsequent reports.
- Organization of weekly meetings with the Client, the Contractors and possibly with other members of the stakeholders to ensure the proper progress of the work and the proper execution of the budget.
- Controlling Contractors Construction Procedures.
- Monitoring of health and safety working conditions.
- Follow- up and treatment of complaints.
- Supervision and control of the delivery and storage of materials, equipment and equipment on worksites.
- Advice to Entrepreneurs on the interpretation of contractual clauses.
- Analysis and approval of the accounts of the Contractors and also of the project.
- Supervision of work progress, testing and commissioning procedures.
- Control and approval of test and commissioning data.
- Monitoring the implementation of mitigation measures for environmental and social impacts.
- Ensures the monitoring and coordination of skills transfers.
- Coordinates and assists the Client in contract negotiations.
- Coordinates the preparation of the final report.
Requirements
- Electrical Engineering Degree
- At least 15 years of general experience.
- 10 year specific Transmission and Distribution experience
- Expertise in the field of monitoring, control of electrical networks and the management of an electrical system must be established:
- Previous experience working in Africa
- French fluency mandatory
