Key Accountabilities:

As part of a fully integrated multi-discipline team, the Petroleum Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the Depletion plan is followed and enacted during daily production operations by, acting as the point of integration between the subsurface, onshore and offshore production teams, and build relationships within the Asset onshore and offshore ACE teams and functional support teams.

The PE will use state-of-the art tools, methodologies and technologies and Act as advisor in the ACE (Advanced Collaborative Environment) Team, responsible for attending Production/Injection operations. As part of the asset ACE team, work closely with the Operations and Well Services teams to plan, schedule & execute screened well interventions.

Identify and pursue Production/Injection Optimisation opportunities and ensure safe, compliant and reliable operations as required by the clients OMS 9Operations Management System).

Provide operational support to the activities underpinned by the Base Management Common Process (System Optimisation, Well Management, Reservoir Management), including the execution of the surveillance plan and wellwork activities.

Participate in asset deferrals review meetings, influence the validation of reservoir and well deferrals and identify options for eliminating future losses.

Ensure each and all deferrals allocated to the R&W chokes are coded accurately in the PEI tool.

The candidate will report to the Base Management Team Leader, work with the site teams to execute, validate and interpret surveillance data and participate in regular well panel and Production Technical Limits (PTLÂ?) reviews.

Participate in asset loss review meetings, validate reservoir and well losses and identify options for eliminating future losses.

Accountable for the daily allocation of production to individual wells and input to Hydrocarbon Volume Reporting system

Support the Operations Efficiency Technology plan.

Travel to site on an infrequent basis to support operational work.

Maintaining Field Offtake Instructions

Optimising production within safety and operational constraints

Ensuring adherence to WDOL and RDOL limits

Monitoring well performance and system performance for production restoration/enhancement opportunities

  • Diagnosing well issues
  • Well testing and surveillance 
  • Use of PEI tool kit
Monitoring well attributes for well integrity issues

Requirements:

Engineering degree – ideally Petroleum, Chemical or Process Engineering

Prosper/MBAL/GAP competent

Out of hours availability to advise on well stock management during emergent operational issues

Competent in system optimisation techniques and working knowledge of well construction and associated hardware.

Competent in production allocation techniques
