This is an exciting Quality Assurance Supervisor opportunity within an exciting and unique company in Sydney. 

Our client is a a contract manufacturing company focusing on food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics. You will be leading their Quality Assurance team and head up all their QA activities to ensure GMP compliance.  

Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Responsible for managing Quality Assurance system and procedures.
  • Conduct internal audits and document results to ensure a high level of GMP is maintained.
  •  Responsible for documenting all Quality Assurance procedures and ensuring Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions are updated as required.
  • Maintain and develop staff training programs in GMP and Quality Assurance. Ensure that packing staff are clearly trained and instructed in their responsibilities.
  • To ensure all staff in the packing and manufacturing areas wear appropriate safety equipment (gloves or goggles) if handling any hazardous product, and ensure work is carried out in a safe environment at all times.
  • To examine incoming goods, outgoing goods, and manufactured batches for their status (approved, reject, quarantine).
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers on sorting out any quality issues in regards to substandard materials.
  • Ensuring that all necessary and relevant controls within its activities are carried out for sampling and testing so that materials are released for use and products are released for shipment, only if their quality fulfils the required acceptance criteria. 
  • Recording of packing/batch information when run completed.
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Quality Assurance in either food, pharmaceutical, or cosmetics industry.   
  • Experience working in a GMP environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, customers, and suppliers. 
  • Attentive to detail. 
A competitive salary based on experience will be negotiated. Core working hours are 8.00 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 8.00 am to 2.30 pm.
