We are pleased to offer the following key contract positions: Marine Specialist

Work Location: Bergen or Stavanger

Start date: During the month of December

Duration: 12 month assignment

Description

  • The Marine Specialist is an expert within the Marine competence area, covering Marine Assurance, Marine Operations, Vessel Spot Chartering and adjacent areas 
  • The position is responsible for planning and follow-up of tasks within own area, and towards platform operations, drilling and wells, subsea and projects. 
  • The Marine specialist is a resource for the management providing competence and advice and contribute in future developments within the marine area 
  • The marine specialist should provide good communication between Logistics and Marine and other departments internally, to main o?ce, and external partners as other operators and interest organizations 
  • The position may be process owners representative within parts of the marine process area
  • The position have a role as technical representative for relevant agreements within marine services

Requirements

Education:

  • Nautical education, preferably Master Mariner

Experience:

  • Good general knowledge within the marine/offshore segment 
  • Minimum 5 years general experience within the oil/gas/offshore business
  • Minimum 3 years operational experience from relevant vessel types and/or rigs/platforms
  • Preferably minimum 1 year experience working for a NCS operator within the marine discipline 
  • Relevant experience of applicable rules, regulations and industry standards within the marine discipline, as well as drilling operations
  • Knowledge and understanding of Norwegian rules and regulations
  • Good understanding of IT tools like WELS
