HSEQ Manager / Australia

Company:

A proven Melbourne builder has asked us to resource for an experienced HSEQ Manager to join the business, to work alongside the leadership team offering best council to the Directors and construction team related to HSEQ & Training.

Based out of their office in the inner suburbs, you will report into the 5 strong leadership team and be responsible for all aspects of managing the IMS & sites across health, safety, environment & quality, as well as training, innovation and continuous improvement of the system and processes within the business. 

The company supports all its projects through its IMS which is accredited to the following standards:

• AS/NZS 4801:2001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems 
• ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management Systems
• 14001:2015 – Environmental Management Systems

Role:
As the HSEQ Manager you will be responsible for the following:

1. Maintain and continuously improve OH&S management systems
2. Drive and influence the implementation of best practice OH&S systems/processes
3. Provide timely and effective OH&S advice to site-based teams
4. Carry out OH&S legislative compliance/audit activities
5. Incident investigation, reporting and management
6. Hazard identification, risk assessment and control analysis
7. Undertake and coordinate OH&S training and workshop programs  

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• Cert IV in OH&S (Diploma desirable)
• Currently in a senior managerial role - with proven success
• Significant experience within Commercial Construction with a builder (5+ years)
• Strong communication skills combined with the ability to influence, motivate and guide others
