Description

• 1 40% Oversees, provides guidance and directs Front End Engineering Design (FEED) EPS contractor’s activities associated with the electrical power system facilities
• 2 20% Supports review and commenting to FEED EPS document package including philosophies, analysis reports, studies, detailed single line diagrams, equipment specification, equipment data sheets, etc.
• 3 20% Participate in electrical equipment layouts and electrical design reviews
• 4 10% Provide technical guidance to engineering contractor specifying electrical equipment materials, features & options.
• 5 5% Define interface requirements with Process Control System and Power Management System
• 6 5% Assist in developing test planning for equipment factory acceptance testing and the following:

1. Electrical building module testing
2. FCS testing
3. compressor station testing

Requirements

Describe any unique complexity that should be considered when evaluating this position:

The position requires the following qualifications and skills:

• A senior degreed electrical engineer with minimum 10-year experience in industrial power systems for oil and gas facilities
• Good communication skills in order to collaborate with colleagues and interact with contractor
• Strong knowledge in applying IEC Standards for the design, testing and application of industrial power distribution equipment up to 145kV
• Strong analytical skills are essential for assessing power systems and creating solutions to issues
• Experience utilizing power system analysis software such as ETAP or EMTP to perform load flow, short circuit, electromagnetic transient and protection device coordination studies.

Power systems engineering related experience for the following applications is considered advantageous: :

• Prefabricated modular electrical substation packages
• Electrical power distribution facilities on offshore platforms
• Electrical equipment for normally unattended installation with a focus on remote operation and reduced maintenance
• High voltage systems with reactive power compensation for power transmission utilizing long length submarine cable
• Adjustable speed drive systems supplying subsea motor driven compressor and/or pump services
• Penetrator and connector systems for subsea power distribution
