Lead Commissioning Engineer - Turbine or Generator (Hydropower)

My client is seeking a Lead Commissioning Engineer for newly hydro rehabilitation project in Togo, Africa. Hands on Commissioning Experience as a Turbine or Generator in Hydropower Plant is essential. You will be managing a Team of up to 10 people.


Must have Requirements:

* English Language Skills: Fluent
* French Language Skills: Mother tongue or business fluent
* Experience: Hands on Commissioning Experience as a Turbine or Generator Commissioning Engineer in a hydro power plant.
* Experience in leading an international Commissioning Team of up to 10 people.

Conditions:

* Start Date: February 2020
* Duration: 6 Months (of which 1-2 months are preparation in head office Germany)
* Location: Togo
* Accommodation: On site Camp provided by client.


Tasks:

* Leading the commissioning team of the complete Electromechanical scope (Turbine, Generator, BoP-M, BoP-E, HSS, Automation).
* Actively commission one of the previously stated Systems. Actively coordinate all commissioning tasks.
* Preparation of commissioning documentation (Procedures, Protocols, Risk Assessments, Schedule etc.) in the Backoffice or on site.
* Coordinate daily activities with client, installation team, subcontractors, site manager and backoffice.
* Responsible for HSE compliance of the commissioning team. Coordinate scheduling of Specialists. Updating of site time schedule.
* Daily reporting of commissioning activities and progress to site manager and backoffice. Reporting of non-conformities. Fault finding.

Salary: Daily/Monthly rate to be discussed

Please note that my client is not looking for CVs of candidates that have only been "project manager", "resident engineer", "consultant", "client representative" etc. Experience as a hands on commissioning engineer on OEM side is a must have.
