HSE Supervisor
Location: China, onshore
Start: ASAP
Duration: 12 months (renewable on agreement)
Salary: Negotiable
Rotation: TBC
Accommodation / Flights / Insurances provided by Client
Mandarin & English Speaker is essential
Conduct internal HSE inspections
Deliver HSE induction and training
Keep updated HSE procedures for the specific tasks
Supervise HSE procedures implementation in the operative sites
Spread HSE rules / standards / procedures / bulletins on site
Ensure that relevant safety risk assessments are complied with and that Job Safety Analysis are prepared during the operations
Promote safe operative techniques and methodologies for the planning, safety control (i.e. JSA)
Ensure adequate HSE reporting in line with Company procedures
Inspect subcontractors activities
Control compliance of the equipment utilized on site
Monitor the effective implementation of the Permit to Work system on site
Prepare and administer HSE Key Performance Indicators for the operational activities
Assist in the investigation of accidents and analysis in order to identify trends and propose the necessary corrective measures
Monitor and maintain control measures in the use of hazardous materials
Bachelors degree in health, Safety & Environment or in Engineering or in Chemistry
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry
Minimum of 4-5years of experience in Fabrication sites
Good understanding of Fabrication Project challenges (lifting, NDT, pre-fabrication, welding-cutting)
Proficiency communicating regulations, risk management, and risk assessment skills
Proficiency with written and email communication including use of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
Good verbal and written communication skills which include the ability to speak, write and listen in a manner that clarifies issues, promotes closure and delivers information in a clear and concise manner and facilitates good decision-making is required
Good English & Mandarin speaking & writing (mandatory)
Ready to work in challenging environment
Highly organized and attentive to detail.
