Currently Saudi Arabia’s Oil and Gas industry is in an exciting growth phase with 2019 through 2020 set to be an excellent time for skilled workers to join and re-join the sector. As such we are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to fulfill a contract position in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
To be successful in this role it is essential that you must be experienced working in oil and gas industry, ideally a minimum of 10 years.

As such we are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to fulfill a contract position in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule assigned fleet of gas turbines periodic inspections and specify the inspection scope of work.
- identify all the required capital and consumable spare parts , tools and resources required to ensure on time, safe and successful outages
- Field supervision of Gas Turbines outages to ensure job safety, quality, schedule and cost goals are met
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of gas turbines engines, systems and components as needed
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems of heavy industrial gas turbines
- Take corrective actions in all technical activities related to heavy industrial gas turbines and its accessories
- Review and approve contractor inspection reports.
- Issue a final inspection report to summarize main inspection findings and recommendations.
- Review and approve contractor quality control plans and documents.
- Work closely with end users to schedule units for planned inspections
- Define inspection work scope and identify all the required spare parts and tools for the outage
- Lead outage planning with end users and contractor and track readiness
- Prepare Job Safety Analysis for all the outage critical activities
- Prepare Job Execution and quality control plans
- Review and approve contractor Inspection Reports
- Issue a final inspection report to summarize main inspection findings and recommendations.
- Troubleshoot, investigate and provide technical/engineering support to end users
- Supervise outage execution and ensure compliance with all applicable Aramco safety rules
- Review and approve contractor quality control plans and documents
- Prepare, issue and send outage daily progress reports
- Plan, schedule and support unit startup after inspection and handover the unit to end used after successful startup
- Inventory and document all remaining spare parts before and after the outages
- Inspect, document and track removed Capital Parts and arrange for repair at approved contractors shops
- Assign tasks to employees at site, track contractor time, creating field service reports for completed work
- Report the status of the gas turbine field inspections regularly to management
- Maintaining and manage inspection schedule, safety and quality control plan
- Supervise planned and unplanned inspections for Heavy Industrial Gas Turbines such as borescope inspection, combustion inspection (CI), hot gas path (HGPI) and major inspection (MI)
Minimum Requirements:
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in maintenance, repair and overhaul of gas turbines and its auxiliary equipment such as gearboxes, torque convertors, pumps and valves
- Knowledge and experience in rotating equipment operation and maintenance
- Self-motivated and possess effective communication skills, and has high analytical capabilities
- Ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings, P&ID diagrams, engineering reports, technical information letters and OEM operation and maintenance manuals
- Ability to compile and conduct effective technical presentations to management and diverse audience
- Superb technical reports writing capabilities
- Thorough Knowledge of gas turbine auxiliary and accessories systems, instrumentations, control and electrical systems
- Have considerable practical knowledge and experience in maintenance methods and practices
