Lean Construction Engineer for Renewables

The successful candidate will be part of the floating offshore wind industrialization project and will be responsible to ensure that construction time and frequency rate of the floater satisfy the commercial project needs (all KPIs) and to propose industrial set-up for serial production according to commercial strategy from a technical point of view.


In the first phase of their mission, they will focus on the first commercial opportunities and :

  • Participate in the elaboration of the industrialisation plan, ie fabrication of floaters for wind farms
  • Engage in establishing goals for lean execution and value stream improvement, and run optimization projects as identified
  • Elaborate Built Methodologies and associated planning of activities and manning, in different regions of the world
  • Consolidate the know-how on wind project assembly and execution, and ensure continuous improvement of the Product
  • Provide feedback to engineering in order to optimise fabrication design and erection of the floaters,
  • Participate in the market review of potential Fabrication and Erection Yards/Hubs and contribute to their assessment and qualifications,
  • Participate in the elaboration of the Execution Plan for the floating offshore wind industrialization prospects and projects
  • Develop, Implement and leverage best practices like fast4ward and digitalization

Core competences:

  • Expertise in methods (Build Methodologies, planning of activities, Resources planning),
  • Ability to analyze and simulate series production
  • Lean mindset and methodologies
  • Good knowledge in structural welding, NDE and coating inspections,
  • Expertise in the construction of large tubular structures / jackets,
  • Potential experience in mass production and in automation.

Experience:

  • Significant years' work experience in methods, industrial processes, and/or Lean methodologies related functions, preferably in large tubular type structures
  • Yard and office experience
  • Fluent in English

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
