Lead Electrical Engineer / Australia

The project

This is an opportunity to be involved in one of the most high profile projects in Australia. With first of its kind engineering solutions and design, Snowy Hydro 2.0 is one the of the most complex and challenging projects in a generation and will be career defining 

The role

As Lead Engineer Electrical BoP you will be directly involved in ensuring the coherence of the design of the electrical and small mechanical works on this large scale power generation project, including (but not limited too)

• EHV Cables
• SCADA Systems
• Auxiliary Systems
• Communication Systems
• Small Power & Lighting
• Earthing lighting 

You will form part of a team of international specialist discipline engineers and take part in design team meetings and reviews and be one of the technical focal points for the electrical and mechanical Balance of Plant design

This role will be based in Sydney NSW, with some travel to site and meetings expected

The role is hired on a contract basis for a period of close to 2 years

The requirements

• MSc or MEng in Electrical or Mechanical Engineer
• 10+ years experience post graduate
• Specific skills in the design and construction of large power generation or industrial projects
• Knowledge of Australian Standards
• Effective communication, ability to influence and challenge
