THE ROLE
My client seeks a Project Manager to join them in BIRMINGHAM to work mainly on a good range of construction based projects.
Projects are mainly large commercial offices, hotels and large residential and mixed use buildings with project values up to c. £100m.
The role will be in my client’s Birmingham office serving national clients.
You will carry out the full range of pre contract and post contract services from feasibility through project delivery.
You will deal directly with clients and be able to run your own projects ideally without supervision.
THE CLIENT
My client is a successful firm of construction cost and project management consultants with two U.K. offices currently.
They are currently a firm of forty plus people and growing.
Clients are in the private and corporate sector.
THE CANDIDATE
You will need to have a BSc or BSc Hons in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Construction Project Management or another construction / built environment subject.
Ideally you will be MRICS / MAPM or similarly qualified or almost chartered.
You also need to have several years’ minimum experience working as a Project Manager post graduation in the construction industry.
You should have worked for either a firm of construction consultants or similar professional firm within the construction and property sector.
Experience of running projects from inception through all RIBA stages through to handover is required.
Ideally you will have worked on a range of projects in the commercial sector and experience of large residential / mixed use projects would be useful.
