Senior Project Surveyor (PQS Background Essential) / England

Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Salary / Rate: £48890 to £64000 per annum + pension, RICS fees, health insurance etc.

THE ROLE

I am now seeking a Senior Project Surveyor (Quantity Surveyor) to join a large firm of construction consultants in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

You will need to have around four years or more post graduation experience and either be working towards becoming chartered or recently chartered with the RICS.

You will work on projects ranging in value from £5m to £200m.

Our client seeks someone to work on a range of projects for higher education, schools, residential, healthcare, science and infrastructure sectors.

You must have been working for a firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants and have good pre and post contract experience.

THE CLIENT

Our client is a successful large firm of multi disciplinary consultants with offices across the UK and Worldwide.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Senior Project Surveyor or be ready to step up to this position and you will have five years or more experience post graduation or be Chartered.

You should have worked on projects across the whole project life cycle.

You will work as part of a their Abingdon, Oxfordshire office on projects of high value from £5m to £200m.

You will need to have a good Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or similar and you must have worked for another firm of private practice quantity surveyors or multi disciplinary consultants.

You will be involved in both Pre and Post Contract duties on a number of projects including cost planning, tendering, site valuations, cost reporting, cost management, value management and agreement of final accounts etc.

Knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract.

As a Senior Project Surveyor you will have worked on a range of projects previously and ideally to have gained some experience of projects for any of the following:- Higher Education, Schools, Residential, Science and Healthcare and some infrastructure.

It is essential that you have excellent communication skills as you will deal directly with clients.

Salary is likely to be in the region of £48890 to £64000 or more plus pension contribution and RICS fees plus good pension contribution, private health insurance and other benefits.
