Location – West Midlands

Salary – £65,000

One of the UK’s leading materials manufacturer is recruiting for an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager for their specialist materials division.    

As a Procurement Manager you will control local spend on materials within suppliers and implement best practices within the group.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic sourcing plans and ensuring consistent supply of quality materials
• Managing supplier agreement strategy with a long term and bigger picture view
• Strong negotiation skills and ensuring an adhered to process for pricing and cost
• Developing communications channels build relationships with key stakeholders
• Manage complex £multi-million agreements
• Category plans, strategic sourcing and contract management

Essential:

• Ideally qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline
• Ideally hold MCIPS qualification
• Be experienced with supply in the heavy materials industry – steel, brick, glass, cement
• Proven ability to drive cost savings and supplier management
• Be flexible to work across multiple sites
