Design Project Manager / New Zealand

This recognized, well-established commercial construction and interior fitout construction company is actively seeking an experienced Design Project Manager following a recent commercial construction project win.
This major player in the Auckland market has established themselves by valuing their collaborative, relationship focused approach whilst aiming to dynamic and seeking out other avenues to improve efficiencies. They have an impressive portfolio of projects within a multitude of different spaces including multi-storey car parks, office block developments, and educational facilities to name a few.
First of all this position will be responsible for being involved within the design phase of a $75 million project within Auckland CBD. Following that this role can continue with the project delivery of this project or can transition towards other potential design and build projects, this really depends on the individual’s skillsets and how it could compliment the trajectory of projects.
The ideal skills and attributes we’re seeking:

• A minimum of 6 years New Zealand based experience within the construction industry and proven experience operating as a Project Manager or Design Manager
• Either a construction specific degree, diploma or trade qualification
• Outgoing and confident communication skills with internal and external stakeholders whether written or verbal
• Proven experience delivering design and build projects, commercial construction experience on projects valued circa $75 million will be highly advantageous
