Site HSSE Manager (French Speaking) / UAE

Scope:

Provide a day to day HSSE compliance assurance & project support service to the division that is effective and suitable to support business activities and company objectives. Ensure and provide scheduled HSSE compliance assurance & training service to all office locations and designated projects.

Responsibilities:

Maintain day to day management of HSSE compliance assurance & training programs and assist in their development.

• Review, monitoring of implementation of HSSE compliance assurance & training component of the HSSEMS.
• Maintain daily working relationship with other HSSE team members, line management and subcontractors in relation of their respective compliance assurance & training compliance programs.
• Continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and preparedness across the Division to create a culture that prioritizes effective HSE and balances overall associated costs.
• Review internal HSE policies and practices to ensure they are current and appropriate; conduct hazard and risk assessments and change existing, or develop new recommendations from these assessments.
• Develop and coordinate the delivery of plans to put in place compliance activity where it is otherwise absent or unsatisfactory.
• Review and report the effectiveness of compliance assurance programs of E&C.
• Develop, coach and mentor internal HSSE auditors to ensure consistency across all projects.
• Conduct HSSEMS audits, recommend corrective actions and follow through on HSSE areas for improvement.
• Contribute to the HSSE lessons learned forum and ensure effective communication of lessons learned and HSSE alerts.
• Contribute to the HSSE component of the action tracking system.
• Assist fully in the investigation of incidents and near misses
• Provide assistance in HSSEMS development and improvement.
• Ensure Corporate Objectives, Policies and Procedures are implemented within designated area.
• Promote opportunities for HSSE compliance assurance & improvement within the division.
• Provide regular, reliable reports and data for monitoring HSSE compliance assurance performance.
• Carry out other related duties as advised by the supervisor.
