The Marine Asset Manager is responsible for ensuring all works associated with the upgrades of marine vessels are performed safely, on time and to the standard to allow the offshore project execution of the project. To support vessels technically throughout their operation.
Ensure contractor prepares accurate estimations of work to be performed with respect to scope, schedule and cost.
Liase with Company Installation Managers (T&I, Pipelay and Subsea) to ensure upgrades are suitable to the offshore execution requirements
Monitor Contractor's activities during Scope of Work generation and CTR development
Participate in overall bid evaluation process for contract award
Monitor contractor performance and ensure all contractual requirements are complied with.
Develop and manage the Company vessel upgrades team to ensure the correct level of competence and experience is available at all phases of the upgrade works.
Report regularly to senior management on the progress of works and any issues.
Ensures that all relevant requirements are complied with in terms of procedures and practices, Classification Society and State Marine Administration requirements
Ensure all project risks are identified, plans developed and executed for their removal or reduction
Evaluate performance of contractor and sub-contractors. Provide constructive feedback and intervention as required
Integrate with contractor vessel upgrades management team to ensure transparency with respect to safety, progress, schedule, quality and cost
Provides guidance, advice and training to project team, contractors, and third parties as required to ensure understanding of the vessel upgrade objectives.
Facilitate regular and rigorous evaluation of progress with contractor
Assist contractor in re-scheduling activities or scope in order to maintain project schedule

Review the contractor's invoicing to ensure correct payment with respect to progress
Develop a commercial understanding within Company upgrades team to identify cost risks created by Contractor actions and how to avoid them
A formal Management degree such as a Master's in Business Administration
Holds a current and valid Certificate of Competency STCW 95 Chief Engineer Reg III/2 (unlimited)
A minimum of 8 years' experience as a vessel upgrades Manager.
Minimum 4 year experience as Chief Engineer on board DP3 vessels
Experienced working within project control systems such as cost and contracts
