The Role: Project Engineer

Location: Hinkley Point C – Somerset  

Job Specification:

Education and experience:

• Must have design experience in complex reinforced concrete structures for heavy civils works.
• Must have experience with AutoCAD.  
• Bachelor of Science civil engineering or equivalent by experience.
• Self-motivated to lead and achieve the highest levels of excellence
• Minimum 2 year experience. 

Duties:

• Inspection and control of the installed reinforcement on site.
• Record deviations from design and provision of input to field change requests and non-conformities.
• Ensuring design information is provided to the installation gangs.  
• Technically strong and able to assist in solving site issues,
• Communicate effectively with Design Team, Construction Team, and client to ensure installed reinforcement is accepted.
• Keeping record of installed quantities and report daily.
• Control of bar bending schedules.
• Determining installation sequence of reinforcement.
• Striving to eliminate health and safety risks in the design and financial risks during construction.
• Technically strong and able to assist in solving site issues
