Civil Field Engineer / England

We are currently recruiting for a Civil Field Engineer for a long term engineering project based in Greater Manchester.  
 
The successful candidate will report into the Resident Engineer on site and shall ensure the project stage is completed safely, to schedule and to industry and company guidelines
 
DUTIES

• Direct oversight of construction, project reporting and providing Integrity assurance of as-built works and construction in line with scope of works
• Strong knowledge of applicable industry codes, pipe fitting and pipeline construction practices and civil technical knowledge
• Contractual experience of managing small contract
• Ensure TQ/QA records are maintained and in line with the QA Plan
• Site Safety Management of the works and delivery of site inductions for their project area
• Demonstrate capability to write, review, approve/reject as appropriate, all discipline contractors Risk Assessment and Method Statements
• Ensure planned activities on site are only undertaken by suitably trained and competent personnel
• Support the Control of Work (CoW) process by performing the role of Permit Issuing Authority, reviewing/writing method statements and risk assessment
• Ensure COSHH assessment are carried out to protect operatives for exposure to hazards

 
SKILLS

• 5 years’ experience of Construction industry experience (Civil, Pipelines, Pipes)
• Familiarisation with fuel storage, handling and distribution operation, and engineering standards
• Able to exercise knowledge of engineering disciplines including mechanical, pipeline, civil, electrical, instrumentation and controls engineering
• Strong attention to detail and sound technical knowledge
• Strong knowledge of working within a control of Work environment (including issuing of work permits)
