Instrument Maintenance Technician II / South East England

We are currently recruiting for an Electrician Maintenance Technician to join a site based team on a top tier COMAH regulated chemical manufacturing facility in the South East. 
 
Working as part of the site operators’ team, the successful candidate will be responsible for installation and maintenance of instrument equipment in compliance with all rules and practices

Responsibilities include:
 

• Perform works associated with the installation, operation, testing and maintenance of all control and instrumentation devices

• Working as part of a maintenance engineering team, responsible for fault finding and repair across a wide range of production and manufacturing equipment

• Knowledge to apply and follow work permits through Permit To Work System (PTWS) as discussed in the Work Management Manual Responsible and accountable for control systems as defined in the Work Management Manual
• Generate Management of Change requests (MOCs) on control-related equipment and installation and can follow up with installation inspections consistent with Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) Element 3
• Develops and maintains open communications on control issues (for example, safe work practices, training, materials, and others) with co-workers
• Ensures the quality and timely completion of work scheduled by the Maintenance Program

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of maintaining Instruments and Controls in processing plant or offshore production plant
• Associates degree preferably enhanced by related technical school courses
• Familiar with COMPEX qualifications and regulations
• Supports and encourages team effort between operations, engineering, and projects groups
• OIMS systems, related manuals, and procedures Specific Technical Skills
